MAIN PHOTOGRAPHY PHOTOS
1)
The main focus of this photograph is the tattoos on the side of the models head going down to his neck. I made sure there was adequate lighting to make sure the model is clearly visible along with the details of the tattoos.
The model is in the centre of the shot facing to the side away from the camera to get a better shot of the tattoo. The model is framed centrally with only his head visible as that is the main focus of the shot.
In terms of rule of thirds, I made sure my model was centre third as I didn't want to create an abstract focus in the photograph.
To make the background not overpower the foreground model, I made sure to up the focal length on the camera to counter this and give a blurred background. The shot is evenly exposed to prevent a overly-bright/saturated final photograph.

2)
The main focus of the photograph is the model's tattoo along with the detail and style of his haircut with a blurred background using a high focal length to enforce the model's tattoo and hair as the main focus.
The camera is facing the back of the model's head and the model is facing away from the from it. The reason for this is because the model's tattoo is on the back of his head/neck but the photo also captures the hairstyle.
In terms of rule of thirds, the model is centre third with some detail in the left and righthand side of the photograph blurred out slightly but adds more vibrance to the image.
The shot is steadily exposed allowing the model not too look flushed with lighting which allows the smaller details to be seen in the tattoo and hairstyle.

3)
This main focus of this photograph is the tattoos on the back of the models head. The background is slightly blurred out to make the model pop-out more in the foreground of the photo.
The camera is facing the back of the model's head as the model is facing away from the camera to give an indication that the tattoo is the main focus of the image rather than the model himself. The model is framed centre third in terms of rule of thirds by having the model cover the middle of the lefthand and righthand side.
This shot is steadily exposed with the lighting not being too overpowering over the model. In this photograph I used a direct light from the camera to make sure the model was visible as it was slightly dark in the room.

4)
The main focus of the photograph is the models hairstyle with a slight smaller focus on the smaller tattoos on the models neck. The background is slightly blurred due to the depth of field which makes the model in the foreground stand out amongst the background clutter.
The shot is steadily exposed allowing the model not too look too flushed while keeping a good amount of colours visible on his face. The camera is also facing towards the front of him however he is facing away from it.
In terms of rule of thirds, the model is going through the photograph from the right third to the middle third.
I used a small lighting kit for this photograph as the lighting was quite dim in the room which made for under-exposed images.

5)
The model is framed to make the head the only visible part of the photo, cutting out the body. The main focus of the photograph is the model's tattoo with a side view of the hair style the model has.
I have used the rule of thirds in this photograph to make the model centre third to emphasise the focus models focus of the photograph. To further this, I used a heavy depth of field to make the model stand out amongst the similar tonal colours in the background.
The shot is steadily exposed to make sure the model doesn't seem overly bright and to be seen as more visible. I used a small lighting kit to make sure there was adequate lighting for the photograph.
6)
The main focus of this photograph is the detail in the model's hairstyle. The shot is framed to make sure the body of the model is cut out leaving only the head visible to further show that it is the main focus of the image.
In terms of rule of thirds I made sure the model is the centre third. The shot is slightly over-exposed as I used the flash on the camera because the main studio lights stopped functioning mid-shoot.
I used a low focal length as the lighting was poor already; this would of caused the automatic blurring to blur some of the models hairstyle features which would remove the main focus of the photograph.
7)
The main focus of this shot is the in-depth view of the hair style and beard. The shot is framed to cut out the model's body to make his head the main focus of the shot.
In terms of the lighting in the photograph, I didn't use any artificial lighting or light techniques to brighten the photograph; instead I used the natural light flooding the room. As a result of this, the auto-focus blurred out too much making the hair indistinguishable from the background.
In terms of rule of thirds, I made sure the model was centre third in the shot. I also made sure the shot wasn't over or under exposed as it would further make the main focus of the photo unseeable due to the natural lighting being too bright or dim.
8)
The main focus of this shot is the model's skin fade between the beard and the hair itself. The camera is facing towards the side of the head of the model as the model is looking away from the camera emphasising the focus of the photograph.
The depth of field is quite shallow in this shot to make the model stand out more in front of the background. This blurring effect in the background further promotes this by blurring out the clutter. Furthermore, the focal length in this shot is too high making the model slightly over-blurred making the details less visible.
In terms of rule of thirds, I made sure the model is positioned centre thirds on the guidelines.
9)
The main focus of the photograph is the tattoo on the back of the model's head along with the 'cat-scratches' line design. The camera is facing the back of the models head while the model is looking straight forward to emphasise this focus.
The exposure in the shot is steady and not over or under exposed which makes for a well lit photo. I also didn't use any artificial lighting in this photo as I thought it over-saturated the scene with too much light as there was already a large amount natural sunlight present.
I made sure to use the rule of thirds to line up the model with the centre third of the photograph.
In this photograph, the model's haircut and beard is the main focus of the photograph. I used direct lighting in this shot with a light diffuser as the lighting was too harsh originally. I additionally used a blue backdrop to make the colour palette of the model stand out amongst the background.
The camera is facing the model however the model is looking slightly left and up as the photograph isn't primarily focused on him, rather it's focused on the hairstyle and beard style. The photo is framed to make sure the only part of the model that is visible is the head and the body is cut off completely.
The shot is steady in exposure to make sure light doesn't overpower the image making the model less visible.
